Why Upholstery Cleaning Is Worth It

Upholstered furniture traps dust, allergens, pet dander, body oils, and odors in ways that vacuuming alone can't address. Professional upholstery cleaning uses low-moisture extraction methods safe for fabric — removing embedded soil and refreshing the fibers without soaking the cushions or risking shrinkage. Most pieces dry within 2–4 hours. We serve Yorkville, Oswego, Naperville, Aurora, and the surrounding Fox Valley area.

Upholstery Cleaning FAQ: What Actually Works on Sofas and Fabric

What fabrics can you clean?

We clean most common upholstery fabrics: microfiber, polyester blends, cotton, and synthetic velvet. We check the manufacturer's cleaning code before we start — W (water-based cleaner safe), S (solvent only), WS (either), or X (vacuum only). If your piece is coded X or is a delicate natural fiber like silk or untreated linen, we'll tell you upfront rather than risk damaging it.

BreezyBreezy says:Breezy reads the tags. Always. It's a whole thing.

How is upholstery cleaning priced?

We charge per seat: $40 per seat. A standard 3-seat sofa is $120. A 5-seat sectional is $200. Loveseats, chairs, and ottomans are priced the same way — count the seats, multiply by $40. No mystery charges based on 'size' or 'soil level' after we arrive.

BreezyBreezy says:Per seat. $40. Count your seats before you call. Breezy will also count them when we arrive, just to be sure.

Can you get pet hair and odors out of upholstery?

Our vacuums are powerful — pet hair typically comes right out during pre-vacuuming before we even start the wet clean. Odors from pet dander and body oils respond well to hot water extraction, and the bio-enzyme treatment takes it further. For urine odors that have soaked deep into cushion foam, results can vary — if the foam itself is saturated, cleaning the fabric surface has limits. We'll always give you an honest read when we see it.

BreezyBreezy says:We will not promise miracles. We will promise honesty and a very thorough clean.

How long does upholstery take to dry?

Most pieces are dry within 2–4 hours. We use low-moisture extraction to minimize dry time and avoid over-wetting cushions. Running a fan near the furniture speeds things up. Avoid sitting on damp upholstery — it can re-soil faster and leave impressions in the fabric.

BreezyBreezy says:Breezy suggests using the time to take a walk. Don't worry. The couch isn't going anywhere.

Bio-Enzyme Treatment+$75

For pet urine, body oil, and organic stains that hot water extraction alone can't fully break down. Bio-enzyme solution targets the odor source at a molecular level — not just the surface. Recommended for any piece with pet accidents or heavy body-oil buildup.
